Petition to Save Invest In Kids

The Invest in Kids Act offers disadvantaged, low-income students who live in struggling school districts a chance at a better education. 40,000 students have been able to attend their school of choice because of these privately funded scholarships. The program offers a 75% state income tax credit to individuals and businesses that contribute to the Fund.

However, the Invest in Kids program is in danger right now, because it is set to expire at the end of the year, potentially forcing those students to have to leave their current schools. Illinois lawmakers must take action during the fall veto session to save the program.

Sign the petition below if you believe that the Illinois General Assembly should pass legislation to save the state’s Invest In Kids program and continue to allow low-income students the ability to attend a better school of their choice.
