Exciting news for Illinois was just announced!

After years of delay, the Blue Collar Jobs Act (BCJA) is finally being implemented, which will help Illinois begin to rebuild its economy and provide more job opportunities to Illinois workers.

We have consistently requested that the long-stalled Blue Collar Jobs Act be reinstated. The program was a part of the 2019 Rebuild Illinois bipartisan agreement but frozen by Governor Pritzker prior to its 2021 implementation.

Today, I can proudly say, we were successful in getting this much-needed program reinstated.

With just a few days left of the spring legislative session, the Senate Republican Caucus will continue to work on behalf of the interests of the people and businesses of this great state.

Qualifying Businesses Can Apply Today!

The Blue Collar Jobs Act provides $20 million in incentivizing tax credits attributable to the wages paid to construction workers on eligible construction projects. Eligible companies include those located in an Enterprise Zone or a River Edge Redevelopment Zone, companies designated a High Impact Business, or companies with an agreement under the Economic Development for a Growing Economy (EDGE) Program.
